GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR VISIT
We offer a standard reservation of either a two-course or three-course menu or a tasting experience. To ensure we can accommodate your specific dietary requirements, please notify us in advance of your visit.
All tables seated before 7:30 pm will have a maximum dining duration of 2 hours. If you require more time, please contact us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
On weekends (Fridays & Saturdays) and during special events, we have specific booking times for our dining room. You may not find availability between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm, as we normally offer two sittings: the first seating is from when we open until 6:15 pm, and the second seating begins at 7:45 pm onwards.
Please note that if you’re looking for a time slot between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm, indoor availability may not be shown, as we do not offer bookings during that period.
Booking for 7 guests and more dining at Bottarga are required to dine from our set menu starting from $95pp and 125pp or our Tasting Experience $160 only.

While we take note of seating preferences, we cannot guarantee specific table assignments due to the nature of the restaurant, limited space, and the open kitchen concept. However, we will make every effort to seat you comfortably and provide an enjoyable dining experience
We have a 10% service change on any group of 7 guests and more bookings as well as Sundays service and a 15% surcharge on public holidays. All card transactions will incur card surcharge
Our outdoor dining area is available daily, providing a unique experience where you can savor your meal comfortably under the building shade. However, it's important to be aware that Melbourne's weather can be unpredictable, and we do not have heating systems in place. As such, we cannot guarantee ideal conditions for outdoor dining.
Aperitivo Hour is available during the summer months (October to Late March) in our outdoor dining area,
from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome!
BOOKING & CANCELATION POLICY
Credit card details are required to secure all reservations. However, no charges will be debited from your card at the time of booking.
If you need to cancel or make changes to your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible. We understand that plans can change, and we prefer to reschedule your booking rather than apply cancellation fees. Please note that we do not profit from cancellation fees—they are in place to help our small team stay organized. With only 18 seats available, we kindly request that rescheduling requests be made at least 48 hours before your reservation. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking will not be accepted for any reason.
For cancellations made within the mentioned timeframe or for no-shows, a cancellation fee of $50 per person will apply.
Guests dining on our Tasting Experience or as part of a group booking will incur a fee of $50 per person for any cancellations or reductions in numbers within 48 hours of the booked time.
CHILD POLICY
At Bottarga, we aim to provide an intimate and relaxed dining experience for all our guests in our dining room. To better accommodate families with children, we recommend booking the early dining time slot between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm, or opting for outdoor seating if available. We kindly ask that parents or guardians supervise their children to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all guests. If your child has specific dietary needs or preferences, please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Please note that due to our intimate setting and the nature of the restaurant, the dining experience may not be suitable for all children. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
